I guess Subi not likely going to be a sell out...
it never has been for a force game....
touch under 38,000 was the biggest crowd
Pretty hard to imagine it not being pretty big. I mean if we had 18k (with people wanting tickets at the gate) for a trial match minus superstars. For a proper fixture we should definitely break 20k. I said in another post we had 30k at the Blues game in 2007. Surely we couldn't possibly lose 10,000 people in two years. Subi isn't that bad.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
i thought this game would deliver us the largest crowd of the season, at least 25k.......
Well, they did fill MES, so there were enough fans - but yes, it would be good if they'd all decide to put up with the imperfections of Subi, and turn up into watch the home matches.
I don't think voting with our feet, and essentially boycotting Subi, will help the's cause at all. Everyone knows we want to watch rugby at a rectangular stadium. But the
also needs to prove it has a consistent supporter base, to silence the critics.
And for morale, too - why should they play their guts out on the pitch if we don't bother to turn up and support them? I know it's a professional sport these days, but it is still a sport, not just a job. And because it's professional, there's nothing to stop the good players looking elsewhere, as we've discovered. If we want them to be faithful to the, and have a team spirit, well, I believe that the supporters play a big part in that.
Keeping the Faith ... right here in Perth!
Agree with Pieter they had better get thier a into g if we are going to get MES SORTED FOR NEXT YEAR NOTHING HAPPENS FAST IN THIS STATE.
I think there will be good turn out Friday week but if they get thrashed the season wil be a financial struggle.
I wish our media would start trying to be positive about everything........ its all negative crap.......... hopefully EWF powers will do some seroius publicity next week some lift outs and interviews etc
$10 mill that they are spending on the ref. on daylight saving would have helped. Spending that kind of money when the country's near recession is bloody plain stupid.........
or merry go round
I believe C10 had it as a news item.
the 4 of us will be at the game
