Tahs to make it tough for Giteau

With coach Ewen McKenzie admitting Force were in many ways a similar side to the Blues, the same sort of attention is certain to be given to star playmaker Matt Giteau when NSW play Force in Perth on Saturday night.

"I don't think you can give Giteau too much space," McKenzie said.

"That's easily said, but (he's) hard to contain because he has a very good rugby brain and all the athletic skills you need.

um excuse me, all teams try and do this to giteau, but you suck. giteau is a world class 5/8th and australia's best Number 10. pretty sure gits is gonna kill all of your plans and will EMBARRASS YOU. well... that's what i think anyway!

I remember there was a fracas at the start of the season questioning Kurtley Beale's defensive play as well, like someone mentioned earlier. He always seems to stand back away from the rucks and flyhalf position in defense and goes towards the wing, while Tahu(when he was playing), Elsom or Palu would go into that area to defend. I reckon as well, high balls to Beale, send a couple of hard hitting players like pocock and spanners chasing him down and giving him pressure.

If the other teams want to target Giteau, im sure John Mitchell will have figured it out. After all, HE IS THE BEST COACH IN AUSTRALIA! hopefully, daruda or mackay will be back to be a second option in the backline to kick. Or if not, im sure spanners will more than manage to run it in and break the line. On Haig Sare, i personally think leave Nick Cummins on and give him a chance to prove himself and continue his good efforts. Maybe take Dane out of the bench and chuck sare on it?!

We need a Force-man armed with a lightsabre, and show Tah-man a true team mascot. And smash him like we would to the Tahs. May the force be with us all!

You would think so, Chiefs (4th) are on 23 as are the Force (5th), so the Tahs are 6th on 22. So 2 points outside in their own right. I'm not sure what their points diffential is

Might want to take into account number of matches played. Tahs are in fact the most successful Aussie team this year - Force 23 pts from 8 = 2.87 pts/game ; Tahs 22pts from 7 = 3.14 pts/game

On Haig Sare, i personally think leave Nick Cummins on and give him a chance to prove himself and continue his good efforts. Maybe take Dane out of the bench and chuck sare on it?!

Despite a personal clash with Sare from a purely practical point of view i'm not sure it is a smart move putting someone who has just recovered from injury back out of the field against a team who we shouldn't underrate. Leave Nicky there...he's playing well and it'll be interesting to see ho he unfolds. There is enough experience in that backline to cover him atm and I see no advantage in moving Haig. Dane would be the smartest person to replace him with but having said that i'd like to see him get some game time as well...i think he'll be an interesting character out there.
