If the Tahs want to entice fans they should give out free tickets with a $50 note attached. It's the only way I can see anyone in Sydney bothering with them.

i'd just bin the ticket and keep the fifty.

That's a handy way to do it.
Perth has free transport on all public options with presentation of your ticket, I think it runs all day.
I would think at least half would rail it to Subiaco.

its meant to be 3 hours before and 3 hours after the match.

but the transit guards are pretty lenient

You'd hope so. I guess we will find out just how much Sydney-siders dislike Friday night games and the SFS.

    Free beer would work better.

While I am no Tahs fan (and am thankful for it), am I the only one here not really happy to see Sydney crowd numbers diminishing? It doesn't make me as unhappy as falling Force attendances, but it's not exactly a sign of good health.

Or are Sydney fans too fickle for the numbers to be meaningful?

... and, yes, free beer would no doubt work a treat

Yes, but you get more leg room in cargo AND you get sedatives.

You must have only started in 2008 with the free bus. When we were there in 2007 we had to pay with everyone else to get back to the city after the game, I know because I bought all the bus tickets in one hit as we boarded.
