Please don't come here Donut. Please... Couldn't we fling money at someone we need? Dunning ain't a hooker, and we could sure use one. We've got Fairbrother, Pek, Boof, AJ, Longbottom and Tak. I don't remember who plays on which side, but surely that's enough!?
I don't think Andre Pretorius would be good either. Jargs where did you read about Leala..la..? I think he'd be a pretty good signing. Him and James could potenially be Wallaby 10 and 12, and it'd be good to let them play together here rather than just train at the Brumbies and get splinters during the games.
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

I have been scratching my head for a few days trying to remember where I saw that

Found it, it was in the same article from Saturdays newpaper:
Reid and Rugby manager Mitch Hardy have a ranked list of candidates, including a a number of overseas players and Brumbies' Christian Lealiifano, who is likely to ask for a release from the Canberra club if he feels he is third in line for the No.10 jersey behind Giteau and 19 year old prospect Matt Toomua.
With O'Connor admitting yesterday he was "going to want a marquee five-eighth" at the Force to take pressure off him, the loss of Grant will serve to make the Brumbies more attractive after the club last week added Rocky Elsom to a star-studded roster.
I doubt JO'C and his council will rate sand castles Andre Pretorius in the “marquee five-eight” class... for 2010…
I don't think you understand him very well Muddy. Grant was hardly marquee. The point wasn't that they had to be a super star the point was that they had to be competant at what they do and capable of making decisions. Both Grant and Pretorius have enough Currie Cup/Super 14 experience and a little Bok time to boot. The point that they had to be a marquee is a reflection on the fact that the only capable Australian fly-halves are Matt Giteau, Berrick Barnes and Daniel Halangahu who are otherwise contracted.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Whilst the issue of the no 10 is important, the real issue for me in this article is that, hopefully, within 24 hours I will be able to sleep easily knowing we will not be subjected to Dunning besmirching the WF Blue.
what happened to them getting frederick michalak?
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
Dunning at the Force...Hmm on the positive side Perth would get a whole batch of new taxis
He went back to France (Toulon, I think)

Yep, I'd argue about that. He may be able to play both sides of the scrum, but I wouldn't call him Test-standard (even when he played for the Wallabies!)
D-Day came and AJ went... HAS Dunning signed anything yet?
As any one heard about Dunning yet?
I'm still hoping he took up the offer to be a marker buoy for oil tankers in Sydney Harbour
