As I said "Nup… ball was out in goal... TMO picked it straight away..." look at the replay the ball touches the in goal touch line then rocks back into in goal... out... plain as day... even a SA TMO couldn't cover look that call...
Also if you watch the rolling maul it splits up before ball is placed creating off side players.

A player must be caught in or bound to the maul and not just alongside it.
Sanction: Penalty kick
(c) Placing a hand on another player in the maul does not constitute binding.
Sanction: Penalty kick
Players leaving or rejoining the maul. Players who leave a maul must immediately retire behind the offside line, otherwise, they are offside. If the player rejoins the maul in front of the hindmost team-mate in the maul, they are offside. The player may rejoin the maul alongside the hindmost team-mate.
Sanction: Penalty kick on the offending team’s offside line
Offside and interfering with play. A player who is offside must not take part in the game. This means the player must not play the ball or obstruct an opponent.
As soon as the maul splits the players infront are offside and can't interfer with the opposition which includes pushing the opposition forwards back.
I taped that game and watched it saturday morning and when the ball was grounded initally it was not on the touchline and you're dreaming if you think it was
Richie would have a word to say about that(c) Placing a hand on another player in the maul does not constitute binding.
Sanction: Penalty kick
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
a closet Brumbies fan Jargster? ... Don’t tell GiGSy

I hear you Happy man... the question is what are the Refs refereeing come maul time? Answer the bloody opposition... It’s disgraceful…
These professional Refs forget themselves and run around to the opposition side of the maul waiting with whistle in mouth to blow a penalty…

Looking a little closer gentlemen at the play in question along side the Laws of the game:
Law 17.2 JOINING A MAUL
(b) A player must be caught in or bound to the maul and not just alongside it.
Sanction: Penalty kick Loew is not attached at several points
(c) Placing a hand on another player in the maul does not constitute binding.
Sanction: Penalty kick Loew is not binding but putting a hand on another player.
Law 17.3 OTHER MAUL OFFENCES
(a) A player must not try to drag an opponent out of a maul.
Sanction: Penalty kick Check out Ricky January pulling players out of the maul prior to the maul reaching the try line. Pentaly plain as day...
After Stormers 9 Ricky January Splits the maul by illegally pulling players out of the maul Loew is not attached and the other players are now offside and are still pushing the remainder opposition players back.
The play should be ended in a Brumbies penalty…. Penalty
Referee Craig Joubert (RSA) just stands there clueless and watches January break Law 17.3b . I don't think he is up to doing the job rugby fans...
