    If you can you are better off doing it on One World as that is Qantas so can use points rewards locally. That lot would be almost two east west return trips if you tie in some accom and car hire etc.
    Far better to pay someone $10k all expenses and fly with the Squad on your own charter though
    thats how i've done it. unfortunately the oneworld trip listed there (when I go to choose flights via their automated pathfinder) goes over the 26000 mile limit by about 12000 miles. their fault since they choose flights that dont go direct though (buenoes aires->auckland is via 2 usa cities, for example).

    Not sure if you can do BA-Auckland direct but can definately do it via Santiago, Chile.
    I did an internal BA-Mendoza-Santiago and then Santiago-Auckland-Sydney no dramas.

    Cant find any direct. Most stop at Santiago, which is fine.
