Hansie, are you mini me?
Are Fulvio & Hansie ever seen in the same place at the same time?
Fulvio and Hansie are not the same person; they are twins in the same way Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger were.
Only their mother can tell them apart.
Be fair, Hansie is a lot taller than Danny Di Vito, Oracle.
This is less exciting than Days of our Drearies

Fulvs always looks down on me.
I don't hear anyone say they have been shafted. I hear people saying COMMUNICATE!!!! It would be good to engage in dialogue - talk to clubland players who have to work for a living, who have been selected on merit and ask " what can WE do to have your talents avaliable for Perth Gold or Force A? "
Sure you can say - "Mate you've been selected - these are the rules and dates you have to show and if you slip up or cannot show, there's plenty out there who'll take your spot".
Is that good for the game in WA??
I wish the game was played alittle later so we could see the future of RWA?
What time did it start ?
6 from memory BD.
I'd love to have a weekly fixture to see for a curtain raiser, and even better, have plenty of notice to know about it. A couple of times have walked in to see two teams disappearing into the sheds.

Hansie - we both know that the original Gold squad was very different from that that took to the park in the last game but what do you do when guys are picked and then don't rock up? Its a tough one I Know and I agree that there were plenty of grade players that should have been out there but do they have the commitment and desire to put in the extra effort... in most cases I say no which is a pity. Even you know how hard it can be just the get them to train twice a week in club land far less additional training for games like this.
I wish there was a solution as a scratch team would not cut it either...
What to do??
You can't schedule games based on when Billy Blogs is free. With 44 players involved, there is unlikely to be a single date that suits everybody. Billy has work, Jimmy has a kids B'Day, John wants to hump Betty.....you work it out.
If they are serious about their rugby, they will commit to the game and turn up to train.
Our national team won a world cup in 1991 based on this method. If you are serious, you do it. If you aren't you find an excuse why you can't turn up

There is nothing wrong with amateurs having other priorities - it is one of the defining characteristics of an amateur. It would be great if sport fit around the rest of ones life, but that is never going to be the case at the top level - even Bradman had to make hard decisions about whether he toured or not. But even at club level, don't show for matches and you won't be picked next week. This was an opportunity at an even higher level and players either want it or not. If not, then the chance belongs to someone who does. And the higher you go, the more Darwinian it is going to get.
So I guess the question becomes: did the players not show because they didn't want it, or because they see it as acting as nothing more than cannon fodder? Was there any real risk they were playing for some future consideration, or is it seen as a closed shop where the "haves" have been long decided?
