As a player, coach and supporter I am proud where I came from and to have had the honour of representing WA and I find those comments as a slap in the face to me and all those that have.

Well said young man. That's exactly what I felt after seeing his churlish performance at the press conference.

I am a realist with the "loyalty" type aspects of contracting in Pro Rugby. In the cases of the Giteaus, Mitchells etc it was just business. O'Connor, I feel, was a young bloke getting bad advice re his "Rugby Brand" and his way forward in the game. But I don't recall any of them making back-handed derogatory comments in their respective announcements. Quite the opposite, in fact. Especially in Git's case.

Again, if it's at all practicable, get his hands off the reins and out of the players' ears. But don't let him go over early - if that's practical as well.
