to be honest - i watched the replay of The Rugby Club today - there is nothing in it. I think that the words Barron Wasteland taken in the context that Marto used was correct.

Dont get me wrong - Marto is a tool of the highest order.

But he said - that without Genia, the Western Force backline is a Barron Wasteland of talent.

that is hard to argue with......

i dunno ex. i'm not totally turning tale on what i said on facebook before. but i think we have talent there. we just dont have a cohesive backline that functions as it should.

we need the basics. quick ball to receivers in space at speed, to make use of the overlaps created by the breakdown.

we just dont have the first and second receivers at the moment to provide a solid platform for it to all come together.
and we have wingers that stand and wait for the ball as opposed to going looking for work - put the buggers on performance based contracts and see what happens then.


at the moment our backline is lacking something chronic. but if we fine tuned it a bit it could be potent. the talent is there, they just need some confidence in themselves and each other. and an experienced 10 to steer the fucking ship

I have just had the displeasure or watching tonight's episode of the Rugby Club & heard Greg Martin (disrespectful wan*er) refer to the Western Force as a "baron wasteland". I am sick of this jaded Qld'er. He nearly got his comeuppence earlier on this year when he was getting stuck in to Tom Carter.

I am becoming further disallusioned of the direction of the WF these days, feels like we are taking a hiding on & off the paddock. I am dying for the team to do well & keep telling myself things will get better. Don't get me wrong... I'd be dreamin' if I ever thought we could win the whole thing.... but I'd sure enough settel for some mid-table mediocrity. I am fed up of no one taking us seriously.

Geez I wish we could get a Jake White type coach. No mess, no fuss, no superstars... just good old fashioned principles. I sincerely hope the Brumbies top the conference this year. I'm fed up with all the pri-madonna's from over East thinking that Rugby owes them a living.

Someone give me some hope!......
