SANZAR released the Super Rugby draw 2 months before the ARU released the British Lions schedule, and:
The Force were realistically the only team that could have played them on the date that they have been given because the Force have a Bye round the weekend before... If any other team had of played the Lions on that date it would have meant 3 games in 7 days.
The Reds gave up their Bye round to play the Lions, all the other Australian teams are playing that weekend..
The Reds and Force maybe able to keep their Wallabies, but the Tahs, Rebels and Brumbies are almost certainly not going to be able to keep them due to proximity to Test matches.

Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Agreed, which begs the question why they aren't playing them on the weekend instead of four days before the match against the 'Tahs...?
Personally, if Ckeika's bleating works and the 'Tahs have their Wallabies available for the Saturday match, I would rather the Force targeted that game instead of the Lions match. The Lions should be playing WA rather than the Force anyway.
I hate to say it but this pic fills me with dread, and its not the haircut %((
