What a game for the Force.

Shepard's performance in the last mins of the game, shows why he is a future Wallaby and Force leader.

    That goal was 'Ealesesque'.

Fortunately for us, it was at home the dramatic finish happened.

The try that he did has been under-estimated.

    Well Done Sheps!

what a way to break our subi duck!!!!!!!!!!! GO THE FORCE!! i was watching shep's last kick thru my fingers, wen he kicked it the silence at my end of the ground for a couple of seconds was huge and wen the flags went up i was in delirium........i kissed my girlfriend, hugged almost everyone, cheered untill the boys left the field. Then went to the members bar where 1500 people waited for a couple of the boys to come out and when cameron shepherd came up on stage the reception he got was amazing, outstanding and LOUD, i will remember tonite for a VERY long time to come. Bring on the reds next week, CMON THE WESTERN FORCE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

As the strong southerly breeze flowed through our kicker, he sought into the eyes of the eager 27,000 crowd and then delivered what we had all been waiting for - the taste, the feel, the knowledge we could go to work/uni and know that everyone would be talking about how we won and not that they where the farce.

And then we remembered why this game is played in heaven...

Shepard kicked the goal that gave us that taste, tension and the overwhelming ability to get the whole stadium to show what the force means to them.

The last throw of the dice, was calm, precision making plays that was well thought of and Shepards try will be under estimated in the legend of Force's first ever win - not by me though.

However being right above it (thanks to a mates dad being away), it was simply sensational.

I thought it went through the kick after the siren, but the refs seemed to take an eternity, I was not going to let my hopes up celebrating to early...but once the flags went up, it was another one of my many fantastic sporting moments...

Maybe we should start filing away these moments, its been a lot of positive moments this season...

    Thankyou Force!

it took the touchies only a couple of seconds to put those flags up, but it seemed like an eternity at the time.

Who spotted me in the program??

The reception the players got when they went on stage at members bar you would think we would have won a premiership.

I might be up for a little weekend excursion to the nations capital in a few weeks, i'll have to check my finances as the date gets a bit closer

I have never been so proud of the boys as I am now. Not just because we won (which was bloody brilliant!!!!) but because they kept their composure and for the whole 80 minutes they played as a team. I couldn't believe it was the Force I was watching with some of those nifty little passes and creative plays, and was so happy to see the boys backing eachother up almost every time and rushing in to provide support.

Not just physical support in the plays, but emotional support too.

When Drew Mitchell made that amazing break then that horrible forward pass that went to absolutely no one, none of his team mates had a go at him. Quite the opposite. They were patting him on the back and forgetting about individual mistakes so they could just get on with it!

I sent Sage a message saying I was expecting Lote to run on the field out of no where and give him a big shove in the back. To which he replied 'He's on a plane on his way now'. hehe.

But that's not the Force way. We're a team. We may have been through many a heartbreak but in a way I think it's made us stronger and improved the team spirit and increased that drive and desperation to perform in front of their home crowd. There is no turning against eachother, just against the opposition.

But the single most wonderful moment was when Sheps was preparing to take the kick and Sharpie walks over and tells him that it doesn't matter what the outcome is and that he's still a champion. Brought tears to my eyes and makes me so proud to be a Western Force supporter.

I couldn't be happier right now and I feel like i've just woken up from a wonderful dream... BUT IT'S NOT A DREAM!!! WE WON!!!!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

(I think I even saw Coach shed a tear last night. )
