The info (unofficial) above said it will start in July.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
It was always stated that pre-season trials would start June-July and the season proper from August

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
I think the proposed timing is an issue, nrc, IPRC and wallabies will compete for the same talent if it coincides with club rugby as well it'll be a struggle to field enough professional players. it would make a lot more sense to run it at a time when fewer players are already playing.

No no, there's a mis communication here.
Community Rugby runs from Easter to end of August. Super Rugby will run from February to September, NRC and IPRC will be after both. Pathway to IPRC and Wallabies will still be via Community Rugby and NRC, IPRC.
Had a great chat with Hodgo today. Community is the key, women's rugby and sevens as well. We want clubs in Perth to excite and better Shute Shield.
Imagine this - Future Force and Super Players staying in Perth, playing for their clubs. Each week we have a "Match of the Round" , maybe the RUGBYWA cup match, some Friday nights we have Colts, Women's and even a few 7's games, we create an evening or afternoon of entertainment and skill. Imagine heading to Success - home of the Terrifying Southern Lions, where the facilities are State of the Art. The afternoon starts with 3rd grade followed by reserve grade and then Premier Grade with both teams including Super Players, Future Force and Clubbies from the Piggies. Full Strength Beer or Wine under cover in the stands, a sausage roll and 4 metres from the hits and tackles. Tribalism at it's best.

I think Super Rugby will end in July when the Test window changes!
But end August in 2018 and 2019
I'm hoping Super Rugby will be dead and buried after 2020!!!
