80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Probably time for the 2017 thread, but Steve Mafi said to be off to France after this year.

That article also gives the first 8 weeks of free-to-air games to be shown on One. In those eight weeks, the Waratahs and Brumbies are featured 4 times, the Reds twice and us and the Rebels once each (and at least the Rebels is against a NZ team, our match is vs the Brumbies so if they use the Fox commentators, the Brumbies will be the 'home' team)
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Mafi will be a big loss for us but can't blame him for going to France.
Also noticed in that article that RugbyHQ is no more and will be replaced by a Weds evening show hosted by Greg Martin and Rod Kafer. I defs won't be tuning in for that show!!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Sorry to see Mafi looking elsewhere as he is the type of player we like here, full of heart.
Lock stocks will really be low after this need to lock in Adam pretty quickly now.
We also need to remember Mafi is a marquee player and ARU could have been influential in the decision obviously not to our benefit.
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.

I'll take it that that is correct. I'm supposing it's because he plays for Tonga. But how can a bloke who was born in, went to school in and progressed through the Rugby pathways of NSW be ineligible to play Super Rugby in Australia other than as a marquee? Does not make a lot of sense to me. Restraint of trade?
If that is all that is pushing him back to the NH it's sad. He's exactly the type of player any team wants - hard as, uncompromising and gives his best every time he puts on a shirt.![]()

I hope we are able to get a good replacement for the next two years. We have a couple of promising youngsters coming through but they won't be ready for another 2 or 3.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
