The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
So if Taf cant get a 2018 contract will he hit the gym and paddock for 12 months and come back as the Force Captain in the IPRC
We have a whole lot of forgotten players, Angus Cottrell, Ruru, Verity Amm, Lowrens, Arnold, Rangi, Vui and the list goes on, just look at the clubbies from Saturday. We have a team, a really good team. This is assuming Rona, Peni, Meaks, Coleman, Hardwick, McCalman all get picked up.
so speculation on a Force squad for 2019? (taken from page 1 so forgive me if ive missed a couple of movements)

There is no mention in Brumbies circles about Coleman returning.

nah I think Coleman was been cut loose by the Brumbies that's why the Force picked him up last year.. theyre not interested in taking him back when they have a few other arguably better players to target from the Force (Rona, Peni, Verity-Amm etc)
unless youre talking about Adam Coleman
Robbie Coleman left for a change of scenery which was fine. I haven't seen it mentioned for a while in the Canberra press that the Brumbies were looking to sign him back. He has had a few injuries so maybe a year of playing club Rugby and NRC if the Spirit are continued will do him some good.

Hardwick is off to the Rebels so we can count him out I think
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
What about Ruru? I haven't heard much about him and i simply cannot believe that the best scrumhalf in Australia isn't being picked up by somebody.
Assuming the usual nepotism and one-eyed-ness continues we'll have Mick, Ryan Louwrens and Ian Prior at scrumhalf, not much room for a development player there!
C'mon the
Ruru is in a bind. If he went back to NZ he will lose his residency qualification.

Twiggy offered them a letter of employment for 2018 didn't he? Super Rugby money to play Pindan Premier Grade would be a nice gap year for some of the boys.
I thought RA had to honour the 2018 player contracts even if they do not get contracted to other clubs (paid to stay at home??)
I HOPE Twiggy starts to pay the balance of the guys a salary similar if not more that they currently have.
He could give them a job in helping set up the Rug Rats (that might need a name change) program
