On history, I assume agreeing "to move to the next step of discussions with Forrest and his World Series team" means bothering to read what he is proposing and actually talking to him?
Wonder what it means for Penrith...does that mean they can't be in the SS without WSR help, but WSR can't have anything to do with them if they are in the SS?
Good Lord! How does anyone on the eastern seaboard manage to breath with their heads planted so firmly up their own arses?
"We are in a deep dialogue with Minderoo [Forrest's company] into how we can work together to support the competition, with respect to the importance of protecting the Shute Shield, Queensland Premier Rugby and the player development pathways on the eastern seaboard."
How does having a WSR team in Sydney stop player pathways?
If anything it will enhance their pathway to playing top level rugby not hinder it.
What they really mean is "Don't steal our players that we are stealing from western sydney already"

No, it actually means "we think we've buggered around too much slowing the current Step, if we do anything more, nobody will accept that we're" working with" him. Now we're going to move on to buggering around with the next step in the hope that if we bugger up enough steps hell give up and go away"
C'mon the
Not sure if it should go here or one of the NRC threads, but Melbourne, Sydney and NSW Country have a combined 2 wins from 12 games, and those were all games against each other. Even better is that our next 2 games are home to Sydney and Melbourne in Geelong.

"12 Years a Supporter" starring the #SeaOfBlue
and from the MRRU website:
"The Melbourne Rebels are aware of financial challenges being faced by current major sponsor, Legacy Property and Investment Group. In addition, we understand that Legacy are currently facing prospective strike-off action by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).
Legacy and the Melbourne Rebels entered into a two-year sponsorship agreement earlier this year, centred on delivering community initiatives via the Club’s platform, profile and in partnership with Rugby Victoria. The Melbourne Rebels are very disappointed that the term of that sponsorship agreement is now likely to be cut short due to circumstances well outside of the Club’s influence or control. The impact of any potential early termination of the sponsorship is unwelcome, but will not have any material impact on the viability of the Club.
Given that Legacy’s future operating capacity is now being reviewed by ASIC and that there are potential legal ramifications for that outcome, the Melbourne Rebels will not be making any further comment on this matter at this stage."
