Maybe too many front rowers in the full squad to burn one of 5 EPS spots?
Maybe waiting for the announcement of Super B and academy expansions (with it the increase in available contracts to offer Ollie his spot)

I have no doubt that RugbyWA will be doing their utmost to keep him in WA as one of the future faces of the Force.
And it's to Ollie's credit that he hasn't chased fame and fortune by running off to the eastern states.
Both sides' loyalty to each other will pay dividends in a few years I am sure :-)

''Meanwhile, O'Connor is poised to sign with the Western Force for next year's Super Rugby competition.
It is expected to be announced next week before the Wallabies play the Argentines in Perth''

“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.
Good to have it finalised hopefully at the same time HB will sign a new 3 year deal with the force
I have liked the look of the latest press conferences involving O'Connor, there is a visible public appearance of humble pie being eaten.

it certainly ticked a few boxes for me Gaffa.
At the end of the day it's only words, but words precede actions and if the actions are right he could become a bloody superstar in Aussie rugby. He has awesome skills and if he could stop being a dick he has a massive future.

This is off topic and I apologize
BUT
at the 40 second mark of the Video above the Wallaby pack are doing a scrum and the ball gets feed at the feet of the Hooker. WHATS THE POINT OF THAT!!!!!
Surely you practice in training what you need to apply in a game situation.
So every time you have a scrum in training the ball is feed where the Referee expects it to be as per the Laws of Rugby,
you have the hooker strike for the ball as the Referee expects as per the laws of Rugby.
If we cant do this in a training situation what hope to we have against a Referee and assistant Referee that are concentrating on that area of play? Against a Pack that give us a hard enough time as it is.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
26 so far in full squad plus Salisi Manu just re signed and we can expect JOC and The Honeybadger to add their monikers in a week or so would only leave one spot free in full squad.
2 EPS signings to date leave 3 EPS positions still open.

Great to see Salesi Manu resigned....fantastic work ethic...
Reckon Rory will stay as EPS as he still has a lot to learn....good potential.
If we get both JOC and the HB then Winston Stanley will miss out which is a shame as he shows good commitment and all the signs of a late developer.

There will be more than 30 in the squad to include for the extra prop on game day so there will be a few more names to come

Is that right, I didn't know they had increased squad size as well, thought it was still 30 and 5.
And after a little research I think it will stay at 35 as the Brumbies have finalised their squad and it notes only 35 players.

What will change is getting the academy back so we will also have those 10 (I think) players as well.

Have been told that with Super "B" comp next year, squad size would have to be 46 min. How that all would work I have no idea.
