Stirzaker was the inform 9 in the Aus Conference and should be rightly pissed at not getting into the Wouldabees
So how do we compare/explain the Super rugby team of the year vs Cheika's selections ??

I think whoever picked that team still has some questions to answer.
Naiyavoro was pretty much a passenger until it came time for him to score a try one on one with about 10 metres to go. Surely any winger worth his salt can do that!
Phipps was very hot 'n' cold, his passing hasn't improved and he seems to have caught Albyitis (Too slow to the breakdown and doesn't shift the ball fast enough) It's hard to pick another bloke for the Wallabies, because Stirzaker doesn't know any of the systems, but team of the season, I'd put both Nick and Ryan ahead of him.
Skelton.....yes he was much better, damaging in attack and violent (yes i did choose that word carefully) in defense, but I like my locks to play like locks, you know, jump in the lineout, push in scrums, provide the power at the ruck.....since the Wallabies will already have a Flanker shirking the work in defense (thank god this selection didn't fall into that hole) Skelton would become a liability.
Slipper.....I would have called Scott Sio as the man Solid in the scrum and useful around the park, what more can you ask for in a prop?
Holmes...Same as Slipper, how can a scrum that was as routinely beaten up as the Reds' get two front rowers into the team of the season? surely they're looking at the wrong numbers in the pack. There wasn't a lot to crow about on the tight head side in Australia this year, but Sekope Kepu should have been there or thereabouts.
Everything else....hard to complain about.

Looks like they used the same system that gave Lote TIQUIRI "Player of the Week" so many times even when the Tahs had a bye!
and only have 5 'Tards in the starting lineup?
What are you? A Communist!?
Don't you know that if a player is worth having then he's worth having at the Waratahs
and if he's not at the Waratahs then he's not worth having!
Later I will explain to you why only couples with a combined income of $500,000 pa should be allowed to have children
"All hype and no substance" GIGS? Sounds a bit like K Hunt; oh wait no, he did have substance....
I'll see myself out
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Western Force winger Nick Cummins replaces Henry Speight in @Wallabies 40-man squad for #Rugby Championship opener
bad deal for Speight though
nick said in a recent interview that his form was not good so i hope he can produce the form that made him a first choice pick GO HB![]()
Qantas Wallabies have made one change to their squad announced during the week, with Western Force winger Nick Cummins replacing Henry Speight.
Fijian born Speight has been granted compassionate leave from the Wallabies' program to return home to his place of birth, following the passing of his grandfather. Speight will remain out of the Wallabies squad until they return from Mendoza, Argentina.
Cummins and the Qantas Wallabies arrived in Caloudra this evening for a five day camp ahead of The Rugby Championship opener against the Springboks on 18 July at Suncorp Stadium.

Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Woohoo someone lost a family member
At least with the Warrabies he might get the ball passed out to him in like an "attack line" which didn't happen much this season at Force. The number of times he's been standing out on the wing yelling for the ball but someone wouldn't pass, or dropped it or dived and buried it. Now at least he'll get the opportunity to slip back into his true form. I feel for Speight a very talented player but still reckon Nick has a more solid form.
