Is he still contracted to Toulon? If so I doubt they'd let him come and play S15 for a few months. Their pre-season probably starts in a few weeks! But if Gits was maybe keen for one more World Cup, what a perfect opportunity.

If Giteau really has changed his ways, he would be a bolter. A stint at the Force could be his redemption in the sphere of Australian Rugby; plus, the World Cup is only a year away.

Yeah, redemption is a bit of a stretch, he and chalk left the country under similar clouds and I can't see either returning to the Wallabies soon.

Well, I suppose "redemption" is a bit of a stretch. I was thinking more along the lines of, if he did come back and then he made a positive contribution to the team AND was a positive/uplifting influence on the organisation as a whole, then maybe that could be a bit like redeeming himself. I suppose I'm asking a lot of him, but hey, he did mess up at three teams, if you include the Wallabies along with the Force and Brumbies.

and now that Wilkinson has retired i'm expecting to see an extension very shortly in his deal.

Seriously guys do you really think Gits on the estimated $750,000 year is going to leave France? What Aussie club can possibly compete with the money the French are giving them? Akin to David Smithy - how would he ever come back to the Force after getting that kind of money and I can't blame them. I guess like Link said, comes down to how bad he wants the jersey!

We have Burton back after the International break though and he looks like a good prospect from his performances thus far
