well...if the Western Force have bought something into town its called "accountability"

Just because it's acceptable in other codes doesn't mean the Force should tolerate it.
Bringing a new code into the WA professional arena the Force cannot afford a single "bad news" story and even with this one it will have blown over by Monday.
good to see the bloke in the sunday times agrees with me on this topic!
and didnt the team just look that much better with Fava on
was it really worth it Mitchell?? punishing him just for 60mins of Rugby
if you going to do ya tough stance dont let him play at all.... do not bring him on when the game is over
i feel this was handled terribly

Luke, I see what you are saying, but given that it already has been made a club rule/law and this is irreversable, what do you think?
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Yeah, on reflection maybe a less strict policy is a winner.....
Perhaps we should follow the NSW lead which is obviously as successful as the Wallabies policy?
When the hell will these blokes wake up to themselves?!?!?!

Sailor explained. "I got ruled out and was very frustrated, so it was a good opportunity to have a couple of drinks. I had some wine at dinner and then I knew that I wasn't going to be out for too long.
"Then, between the hours of 10 and one, I certainly picked up the pace a bit with the boys, and ... I'd been talking to people all night.
We've all had nights like that "Sure I'll stop but just for 2 beers"

Back to the topic: The rules are the rules and I agree they need to be up held, but it needs to be changed. We aren't talking about performance enhanching, or illegal drugs here it's simply a few beers. I agree with luke, keep the rule change the punishment, a fine would suffice. Make it a large one and hit the player where it hurts the most in his wallet.
Wouldn't 'picking up the pace a bit' for 3 hours equate to getting shitfaced ?Then, between the hours of 10 and one, I certainly picked up the pace a bit with the boys

Man I would love to go on the ARU Cape Town Magical Mystery Pub Crawl.
change the rule right away, dont just say coz Fava has been punished by this rule we have to keep it for the year to be fair on the rest of the team - do what is best for the teamOriginally Posted by Coach
and who was really punished???
Fava - only missed just over half a game.... still ended up playing so was he really punished?
The Team - missed a good experienced player in their first away game - the best team wasnt out on the park and it was the Force's worst period of performance
The Supporters - didnt see the only force try scorer play, good player out so team had less chance of winning. pay their cash to see the best team possible and i dont wanna rock up to Subi and see one good player missing coz he blowed 0.01 on the morning of training a few days ago
punish him but dont punish everyone else along with it - cash fine or community work

the Force would have been unlikely victors even with Fava on the field - it has given invaluable experince to another squad member, and the 'code' was already in place that he was to miss match time as part of his penalty. I bet you Fava was spitting chips that he wasn't out there and will be unlikely to offend again...
Its all history now, we know your views on this part of the Western Force code of conduct - what I meant to ask was given that the code was already in place at the time Fava breached it do you think it should have been enforced?
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
like Ben Cousins stops offending??Originally Posted by Coach
people make mistakes and their is a chance he will make another
yeah i agree that as it is the code it has to be enforced and those are the rules so he must pay the consequences
just think it needs to be changed for the interest of the Force

Hopefully everyone will see Fava's pain and it will now never happen again....
Then it is a mute point about having the rule in place as it will never need to be enforced.
