Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

Jargs; (or any other Mungo) did you think that last Qld scrum awarded against Uarte for a knock on was right. I thought it was pretty well immediate after the kick, which was still rising, and could have easily been ruled a charge down. I would have.
Rugby League: 10.3) To charge-down a kick is permissible and is not deemed a knock-on.
Rugby Union: . If a player charges down the ball as an opponent kicks it, or immediately after the kick, it is not a knock-on even though the ball may travel forward
Ecky?

I watch the mungs three times a year and (believe me I only admit it because it makes my point) support the blues, I thought the call was ok, I thought it had bounced in front of him (but am open to correction on that point) and he definitely played at it to catch it rather than charge it down....good call in my opinion.
As for the non-penalty try........ You'd have to think it was bloody close to one. If he wasn't mugged on his way to the ball Carney would have been a meter in front and able to make a play on the ball.
C'mon the
Fair enough. I'll have a look at it again when I get home in the morning. I just think that those occasions where the ball is kicked straight at a player from a few feet and is still on the rise, most often it's a reflex reaction rather than deliberately playing at it. Usually they have bugger all chance of taking it. I'd prefer it to be either not played at or charged down.
I hate seeing it in Rugby too, where a player in possession deliberately kicks for the rebound into touch and gets rewarded with the line out throw. Some might say it a skill of the game. I feel it's not in the spirit.
PS. Never been a fan of Robbie Farrah. But geez; 64 tackles in 80 mins and none missed. Some of our blokes could do with a ticker like that. Well done young man.

Go NSW
I though knock on to be honest, I though Uate was trying to catch the kick. Uate didn't help his cause by stopping 20ish metre out before taking off for the try line.
Have to say I thought penalty try should have gone up when Todd Carney was deadset mugged by Cooper Cronk, when the ref called him out to send him to the sin bin he knew he was going. Wasn't a fan of the immediate decision to go for the 2 points but it paid off in the end.
If Todd Carney could kick it wouldn't have been so close and I would have some finger nails left!
I though Tim Grant had a great game on debut. Got to say I hadn't been a big fan of Robbie Farah's either but he shut the critics up in game 1 and served up some humble pie to them in game 2, thought he would get MoM over Greg Bird
Uate needs to get comfortable under the high ball and Mitchell Pearce is a myth

It was also a lot more fun watching game 2 in Queensland than it was watching game 1
Yeah. Growing in confidence. you need to have kickers @ 6, 7 & 9 to win at Origin level tho. He needs to get a more complete game quick. Theres another Sirro hot on his tail.
Had another.look at Uarte's "charge down" with a cool head & a few hours sleep refs got it right.
In the airport bar waiting for the flight to Mexico.
GO WALLABIES!!

Pearce is still useless

Uarte is no gimme for O3. IMO. They'll bomb the crap outta him. Merrit? Brett Morris? Wolfman? Would lose bugger all with any of them.
