The RA are really a sick non-democratic joke.
"A system, process, or decision that is undemocratic is one that is controlled or made by one person or a small number of people, rather than by all the people involved." https://www.collinsdictionary.com/di...h/undemocratic
Looking at this article, the future financial health of rugby in Australia (under the current model) might not be so assured.
https://www.smh.com.au/business/comp...03-p4z7iu.html
"The pay-TV company needs to stem a decline in subscriber numbers, and is also planning to launch a direct to consumer sports streaming service in coming months."
If Foxtel are struggling with subscriber numbers I can't see the renegotiation of the ARU's broadcast rights going well, plus if South Africa do pull out. What effect would that have, less money for the ARU, means less money for players, means players looking overseas, and a downward spiral? The only way out of this that I could see would be WSR.
Mentioned that on another page. The Rebels are a charity case. The Community Rugby funding goes to the VRU which is a separate item. In previous reports the VRU received far more than Rugby WA and the ACTSNWRU.
The full financial report which is 40 pages will be up on ASIC in the coming days or you can request it from the RA for free.

From a Gr & G poster:
It's only been six months since Mr Clyne released the 'Supporting documentation - the future of super rugby' which forecasts the cash flow position, with Fig 3 - Financial forecast for keeping MR and exiting WF 2017 Q4 should have Cash position of $9,194,000 yet already he is way out - Cash at end of year according to the Statements of Cashflows shows $17,786,000 cash position - or $12,270,000 if the $5,516,000 Grant proceeds received this year for ARDC construction is taken out.
I may be misinterpreting this, happy to be corrected (hell I'm on Gr & G, so no doubt will be) but either way, Mr Clyne did not manage to get his Dec qtr cash position forecasts right 3 months earlier - it's hard to imagine any other forecast will be accurate either.
truth triumphs
Astounding that the parasite was in charge of running a bank. He can't even comprehend figures when he has time to think.
Alan Jones has offered to represent Israel Folau it is more of an opportunity for him to take on the RA

and on a completely different note,TOCC appears to have been punted off GAGR,pity
TOCC will be back as he can't help it. Probably needs a break.
Got a couple of things.
Just read the re-read the August 18th 2016 minutes and the Anthony French 'report' there is not one line mentioned about the cost of the Rebels and there performance. They can't hide behind Imperium as they didn't own the side for the whole of 2015 so the costs would have shown up on their reports.
How could the board vote on a decision to cut a team when they aren't presented with all the facts? Especially crucial ones in regarding the future forecasting of one of their biggest expenses and under performing liabilities. After all Bumchin and de Clyne said the decision was made on future forecasting.
Concerned Supporter posted on the Roar stating that he had heard back from Sen Reynolds in regards to the ASIC Inquiry she said they will release their report when they have all the evidence for their findings. There must be a whole lot that we don't know about and I can understand them waiting on the full 40 page financial report.

They must have subpoenaed minutes, emails and other records as Raelene Castle said a couple of months back that she had heard from them.

The Force smash the Waratahs by around 30 points last year
The Waratahs smash the rebels by 30 odd points this year.
Dont you all see. The power of 4!
Just to side step this, just love how the CEO of RA and the CEO of NSW Rugby, in beautiful Kiwi accents talk about Australian Rugby, culture etc after the 'chat' with Israel Folau.
