Think I would be lining Bart up in the Centres before Flyhalf James?
It's shaping up as a pretty reasonable Back Squad really.
Is Longbottom still contracted? Perhaps he has been practicing to be a 20 minute Hooker? And what ever happened to Ryan Tyrell? Seems to have leaked back out of the system?

Bart's played a bit of 10. I figure he's experienced enough to know what to do in the tight games and is more likely to use the rest of the backline rather than running/kicking it too much himself. Personally I like the way our pack looks so I suppose if the pack is getting good ball it won't take a nuclear scientist to get the job done just someone who knows what to do when its 'on'.

Longbottom is still contracted and it wouldn't suprise me if he was practising hooking. He doesn't seem to get much chance to play at prop and we still have a vacancy at hooker...Essentially all he has to do is throw straight and he's a shoe-in!

Had a chat with Mitch Hardey on saturday, They have been looking through the competitions, but have not been able to find any S14 quality hookers. He did say that he thinks Ryan Tyrell is going to be big in the hooker role, though he is still green.

On another note, he also said that Dave Pococks brother has been signed into the academy. Apparently, he's built like pocock, but taller, and their old man reckons he's better than dave, so it should be interesting.

Future Number 8 or 6 perhaps?? Good news and great for the club to get this type of mentality with in the young playing group. Dave has always been very appreciative of John Mitchell and I noticed that JO'C mention Mitch as a very good positive for him to stay as well.

Having Pocock's brother around will be great incentive for Pocock to re-sign come the end of his contract. Not to mention the added support base during the season.
Little Dave is not so little and will be a great addition to the team.

Baby Pocock - how old is he? All these young players getting contracts are staring to make me feel like an old women! But that's fantastic news, what position does he play?

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
