More from Rupert well Wayne Smith

"This is the first time in its 10-year history as a Super Rugby club that the Force have needed to call on assistance from the ARU. Until now, they have lived off the cashflow built up over the first three or four years of their existence but a series of setbacks means that money is now exhausted.

Still, the ARU has bailed out the Waratahs twice, the Queensland Reds once, is now attempting to manage a crisis at the Brumbies and has spent a fortune keeping the Melbourne Rebels afloat.

Given those circumstances, the Force will be fighting with everything they can raise to ensure that the price of their survival is not relocation to western Sydney."

Wife's 14 year old cousin dropped a high ball last week playing school rugby & missed a try. So he made us kick him high ones for at least an hour and a half yesterday after lunch.

Ask the Aru to pay out the coach and start again with new head coac assistants and development coach.

I'd be interested to see what the consultants' report says about the other four franchises. I hope the ARU makes the report public. Vain hope I know but I think members - particularly those who've been in from the get go - have a right to know as we all 'own' a piece of the decision.

    From The West
Good to see Sinders come out swinging. Interesting stuff on how much the ARU has spent propping up the Rabble and on our government loan. Seems it may not be as cut and dried as our friends in the east think.

Western Force is likely to go into private ownership if the Australian Rugby Union is not prepared to form a suitable working partnership with the Super Rugby club.
The club will not be bullied into accepting an agreement that does not guarantee the future of the club in Perth and fails to recognise the importance of local input.

Re the final para in that article, I find it outrageous that the ARU expects the WA taxpayer to write off a debt that it (the ARU) has in a way stopped being paid off through its failure to give RugbyWA the financial support it has given other franchises before us.

With the massive Foxtel deal it's just secured, it easily has the funds to pay off the rest of the debt. No doubt it would do exactly that if it were any of the other franchises (except maybe the Brumbies).

On a positive note though, big ups to Sinderberry for sticking up for WA and for those of us who support the game in this State.

Fair call, but something needs to change doesn't it?
Top team is losing(tho I reckon they will win tonite well they should becoz of Chiefs travel) u/20 is losing, nrc team underperformed with same coach involved as U/20,and then we lost the head coach who was a past player and had ability and was well liked.
We can't keep putting out same shit different day situations. Maybe an assistant or both are ok but surely head coach and junior elite coach have some serious question marks over them.

Jono, the anti-coach brigade might be annoying and incessant, but that comment was naive. Most organisations get rid of the majority of the coaching team when the head coach moves on, so to do that wouldn't be unusual.

1.2 million is a tear drop in the ocean compared to the new Burswood stadium effectively built for AFL.

Not really. Generally; either a coach is sacked & then the organisation tries to keep assistants until end of season minimum. Or the old coach moves on & they either appoint from within or bring in from the outside, the ones that are pissed off for being looked over then move on. But generally not all at the same time. There is essentially a period of handover.

From a buisness point of view you wouldn't fire the entire coaching staff at the same time *if* you could avoid it. But, I agree that it has happened and will happen again.

In this particular instance - sacking the coaching panel would have more negatives than positives. If that was going to happen it should have been done at the end of last season.
