I'd prefer the All Black 10......
Kiwi cousies take on Alby's move here
Good to know some jounos report fact unlike our Eastern State spin kings - Brett Harris et all
Excert from article:
.."New Force coach Michael Foley, who has taken over from the sacked Richard Graham, described Mathewson as his team's "marquee signing" for next season..."
Alleluia
I'd still like to see the Force keep on with Winston Stanley at 12. Towards the back end of the season he really found his feet. I think he would do a lot better with our new halves combination.

A good pick up, although I seen to remember a you tube clip of nalaga, scoring for fun around this time last year!....
RG cunning plan - sign worlds most lethal gigantic flying winger, and while the opposition is quivering in fear and coming up with plans to counter and triple marking, never get it past 12 before trying a chip kick down the middle. Take them by surprise.

Great signing the kind we needed to get that first ball out. Great vision is not taught it's a gift and this guy has it, kind of shocked we got him.
You can scratch my back with a hacksaw!
Weepu,in my opinion doesn't have the talent to be a fart for Albies bum.I am so glad that Kiwi selectors can see something in Weepu that I can't.Welcome aboard Alby,I think you are a marvelous player.I hope you enjoy your rugby and time in Perth-hopefully 2 years.
This is some great news !!!
I like this statement from Foley, it gives me a bit more confidence in him.
".... Having Alby join us in a key position like halfback will not only add to our performance next season, but also ensure we're able to develop our young talent to its fullest potential"
The thing a marquee signing should be used for ..... Not the usual WF Hierarchy's mentality of the one season quick fix and big fat pay check as they walk out the door.
Go The Force!
Encouraging signs for the Force. Foley attracting A grade recruits to the club. Need to remove the dead wood though. Desperately need a quality Sharpie replacement. Any truth to the Hugh Mcmeniman rumour ?

Potential to have been a great player, but was a sick note when he was at his physical prime four years ago. Do we really need an older version? Its all very well having "pay per play", but we have limited rosters now.
Agree completely GIGS, we cannot afford this type of player (looking for a retirement package). We MUST sign players who want to be here for the right reasons, who want to develop their career and see the Force as an opportunity. Sorry, we have been burnt too often.
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
I think McMeniman would be worth the risk- particularly if we get a really good option in the EPS. McCalman is capable of coming into the second row. Short of another development marquee (who exactly?), we are bone dry for second row options in Australia.
