Western Australia 29 v Victoria 20
The 2 Captains were in charge of the team for that game. They did everything from warmup/game plan/patterns etc....
And they had their first win for the tournament. When the coaches (who have never played the game) were in charge of the team they didnt win a game. Hmmmm????

Yeh
Good one NGO. Great 1st post.
At least two of the coaching have played the game. I shall not name them, nor for whom they played and at what level as it doesn't matter.
No. Fair enough. I concede that a couple of 15 year-olds running the final training session would obviously have sufficient experience when compared to "text book coaches", regardless of whether some of those coaches may have played at a higher level than state under age.
mea culpa
I plead "no contest" and consider myself put in my place.

Dear NGO,
I think you need to be more on top of your facts here. One of the coaches is the RWA Development Manager which means that amongst other things he runs much of RWA's coaching development program. The other has considerable club coaching experience at various clubs in Perthat a senior level over the last 10 years. Australia's best coach of recetn years Rod MacQueen never played much more than club rugby. Arguably Sir Graham Henry's playing career was nothing to write home about.
Who is the fellow second from the left in the front row in the photo on page 1?
Here is what I wrote on another rugby site after the tournament about WA:
Played well against Qld Whites and just lost when a long range penalty missed late in the game. They had every chance to beat NSW Country but were careless after a late 22 drop out, when they turned the ball over at a 5 metre lineout and Country scored. On Day 4 they played their best game in the battle for the wooden spoon when they refused to quit when 15 behind at oranges – and won by 9 against Victoria.
Star Players: 3. Tristan Schneider, 8. Blake Phillips, 9. Angus Taylor.

Which one of these scenarios best describes you
1 Your own kid didn't make team
2 Applied for coaching job but missed out
3 Your own kid did in fact make team but wasn't up to scratch and got bugger all game time
4 You were appointed coach of team ,got exposed as incompetent got the arse
Because this was posted via Mobile and you know the goings on I'm picking you are over there and no 3 is my guess
