have fun in your padded cell RM
surely this has to be some sort of joke! does that mean i am allowed to comment now?
Hansie,
Surely you don't support Cottesloe's action of flying over Brett Sheehan from USA just for the GF? If i was involved with Cottesloe Rugby club I would be ashamed that they have spent whatever it cost to make that happen, instead of investing that in to the development of their juniors or looking after their loyal club members!
Now as a proud Nedland's man you will say the move played to your advantage, and i believe that but that is not what i am asking... I think the move is a double kill, the fact that Cottesloe resorted to such measures is one thing but the fact that it was allowed to happen is another - if Cottesloe needed a 10 for the final and wanted to use that dispensation why didn't they fly over someone who was registered and played for them, someone like Sam Christie perhaps?

Coach - I am told even Dave Ball at Pally did not use the EWF players with Wests as an excuse.
Goony - I have said in past posts that - what Cott did was not good and a use of the rule that had not even been considered. Clearly the rule on EWF players will be tightened to stop that kinda stuff, but I will not walk away from the decision to allow EWF players to play in our competition. The support from club players is overwhelmingly supportive and not just with Cott and Neddies.
Every EWF player who was dispensated because they did not play the 3 games did engage with their clubs at training and they are all doing their level 2 coaching course.
Neddies had one EWF player in Paddy Delit on the field and his contribution to both the juniors at Neddies and seniors over the past 6 weeks has been awesome, kids have brought their mates down and for a junior club that has been struggling they had over 350 people at the wind-up and I can honestly say Paddy and Heath's presence accounted for a big slice of those who came. On that basis alone - I am happy to cop all the abuse about the unfairness of EWF dispensation just to see perhaps even 10 or 20 more kids join a club because of the buzz these guys brought with them.
imagine next year each club will have 4 EWF players and they all do something similar and we get another 100 - 200 kids coming to play !!! - BRING IT ON.
If this actually happens and players are distributed in as even a manner as possible then people will be happier... I think it is safe to say that the 2013 finals series was a bit of a joke in regards to what happened but hopefully we all learn from the mistakes made and move on! I just hope this statement that Hansie has made is actioned as it does seem unfair that certain clubs with more funds behind them happen to attract the Force players.
