Ben Tapuai ponders move to Force

In my opinion there is. Especially when it’s a drawn out process and the fans are consistently reading articles based purely upon speculation. Let’s not forget that different media outlets occasionally publish stories contradicting each other as well.

Whatever happened to writing articles based upon genuine facts? Or am I asking for too much?

I don't think its purely based on speculation if Ben Tapuai did in fact fly to Perth to meet with Western Force officials, he is obviously considering a move in that regards.

well there's two things I guess, did he fly to perth and did he meet, if yes to both things then all you can really say is that he flew to perth to talk to the Force, writing anything else about the subject is making your own story. I'm flying to Melbourne on friday, doesn't mean I'm thinking of moving there

Even if he did meet with Force officials it doesn't mean anything. Qld can still offer him a deal and Melbourne can come in and lay wads of cash on the table because of the breaks they get with their Marquees.

All we know for sure is he flew to Perth. Until there is an announcement from the Force I won't be believing any speculation. Even if he agrees to terms, the Reds have a history of pulling that rug out from underneath our feet......if that happens, he'll just be another name added to the list of people who GIGS doesn't want to see at the Force.

Before you weigh in TOCC, no I don't want somebody to dishonour their word and sign for the Force, IMHO that's a sign of similar character flaws that infected Giteau and JOC, both of whom only took from our organisation and didn't give.

Don't we have holmes for scrum half? or he just got a short term contract? I could not understand why we offer a contract to dave harvey but not him

I thought Josh Holmes was just on loan from his French club. We might be able to get him back on a similar deal next year though. But I don't know if he really is good enough to be a regular starter.

Agreed, Holmes is not up to it, once a halback prodigy, now a failed prospect, he has the skill and ability but lacks the drive to dominate at Super rugby level. The Force would be better to discard him and look for someone that wants to suceed in WA. For me he's got Josh Valentine, Drew Mitchell and Henjak written all over him, wants to be a Rock Star but doesnt want to work for it.

Holmes is a bit too casual for my liking as a halfback. Doesnt play with much intensity at all. Plus he has a annoying shuffle before he puts the pass out.
