game is sold out but no 'members' turn up
game is sold out and every member turns up
big difference
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
I know we've had sold out crowds, which means its possible that people who wanted to come to the match couldn't right? which means if we had a larger capacity more people could come to the game which equals more money and a better atmosphere.
And just imagine if the force did string a few big wins together, im sure we would reach capacity then
yes sort of if all the non-members seats are "sold out" then no one else can turn up, but you can still have empty seats held by members who don't come to the game - so you don't have capacity crowd.
yes with a larger seating capacity you can sell more tickets at the gate (provided members don't snap them all up) but you still can have the "empty members seats" issue and well yes if we string wins together that would go without saying more people will come to watch the game, regardless of their membership statuswhich means if we had a larger capacity more people could come to the game which equals more money and a better atmosphere.

yeah we would reach the higher capacity.
but seriously if games are sold out people who want to go may not get tickets.
Maybe they need to start a scheme like in GayFL where if you're not going to attend, then you can let the membership office know, if they sell your seat you get a nominal fee off your next years membership

......cry and you'll weaken your beer
Take that old 60's Eastern Stand, best seating the ground, set aside for sponsors, corporates etc you know the people who pay the most and it has never been close to full.
No matter how big the bloody ground is I doubt there will ever be a capacity crowd.

The facilitiess for the players however are pretty draconian...and it's not big enough for international teams to play here...we are missing out on a huge tourism opportunity too...In Brizzie or Sydney, and Melbourne for that matter when the Wallabies play the Abs..it's virtually impossible to get a hotel room...if we have a decent international stadium, why couldn't the Wallabies play the ABs here...???? Probably will never happen in my lifetime but one can dream....!!!
Yeah that one!
