Pretty sure I saw a couple of the clips showing him in #13.
We have talent in there though so I think keeping him out wide where he will be one on one has the most merit.
Also pretty impressed at his work cutting back through traffic at the base of the set piece.

Maybe we should get the other winger in a development spot. Or is Ripia filling that role? Three tries in 40 mins so far.

He's not afraid to dive into the ruck. You could attribute at least 2 pilfers to Nalaga.
He is a unit.![]()
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
So what does the backline look like at this stage.
9 Sheehan/Stannard/Turner/Swanepoel
10 Ripia/Stannard........Godwin?
11 Nalaga/Tupou/Mafi/
12 Sidey/Stanley
13 Dellit/Tupou/Sidey/Mafi/Cummins
14 Cummins/Rapana/Mafi/Shepherd
15 Shepherd/Dellit.......Holmes?
Question marks
Personally I think we're stacked with coverage in the centres/wings and could do with some extra coverage at Fullback and Flyhalf given the injury history of Shepherd and Ripia.
Not sure what Swanepoels future is but could see some development at 5/8. Not sure about whats happened with Fairbanks but I know he has spent some time at 5/8 as well.
Fullback is a concern as if we lose Shepherd and call me cynical but im expecting the inevitable, we can move Dellit there but I personally think his best position is at 13. After Dellit the fullback stocks is very light Theres always the option to use Ripia there as well if he's healthy. I remember reading about developing Cummins as a fullback which is sound as hes good under the high ball and would excel counter attacking from deep in a latham way but i cant recall ever seeing him kick.
Personally I think the backline is looking much better thenl ast year and am looking forward to seeing what they can do behind our pack.
Any news on the progress of Kyle Godwin and Zack holmes?

The Honey Badger played at #15 for both Samoa matches, may be a sign of things to come. Certainly good experience for him anyway in relating to what his Fullback is up against if he stays on the Wing.
