Sick of rugby wa being bully boys they had even threatened to bill the clubs for unsold tickets telling clubs it had been voted on - well guess what??? Its illegal to do that so it doesn't matter what's been voted on it can't happen. I have had enough of rugby wa and have no confidence in their ability. I am sick of junior rugby having to prop up rugby wa for money and rugby wa just being bully boys
Sounds like WAJRU should pay more attention to what is being done in their name. Amazing that no-one on the WAJRU Committee paid enough attention or took the responsibility to make sure a raffle being run in their name was being run properly and did'nt have a permit.
Clubs were going to be billed for unsold tickets - so for a bigger club of juniors such as wanneroo - whilst they may sell 200 tickets out of 320 issued - the club was going to have to pay for the unsold 120.
Clubs do not have enough vollies as it is without throwing this onto them - having to track and be responsible for raffle tickets - it is outrageous!
Some clubs were very vocal in their disagreement of this.
What kind of dodgy printer would print raffle tickets without putting a permit number on them, anyway?

Dear Fulvio,
Agree with you about the printers not raising the issue.
Dear Pieter,
Thank you for spotting my poor English....
I think I should have more correctly said.....

Or are you suggesting that WAJRU had no role to play in this. The WAJRU badge is on the tickets, my son showed me some when he came home from the club last night. Anyway in my business if there is a stuff up by junior staff we fix it, support them and take a share of the responsibility. We don't hang them out there and publicly blame them like is being done here.
If you are going to hand over a major fundraiser to a bunch of young guys in the rugby department to run then you ought to put some risk management strategies in place.
Bring back the lamington drive and movie nights!
