It sure was. In my recliner/rocker with a beer in hand.

I made the same call in real time, though. But was more like "FFS James!!! why TF didn't you pass the f@ckin' thing to Sheps?"

    All my neighbors are witnesses.

    Line outs

My question is what happens to the line out when sharpie is off, it was an issue last year and seems to be an issue again this year....

Is scheduling down to Fox? An evening game would screw up the Sunday evening schedules in the Eastern states, and be a late-night time in NZ.

I noticed that there were three Sunday games this year: Reds - Force, Brumbies - Force, and Reds - Crusaders. Someone in the ARU wants Sunday games.

I know when "draft" schedules were put about they had special notes for Sundays regarding travel. We got it this time because we have the bye next week. I think you'll find that is similar with most Sunday games giving teams the optimum recovery time.

The whole schedule would have been a bastard of a thing to put together and keep fair across the board. I think they have done a pretty good job considering.

Inman looked very strong and keen, but imho, that was part of his problem with those passes: he was running too shallow! Had he hung back deeper and then exploded into his run, he'd have had two tries himself.

Seems there is a wealth of talent in the backs. Ripia coming into the side lets rabbit go to 12 or 13 or 15, but there was not a lot to complain about with Fairbanks, Inman and Shep. Although Shep's decision-making could be improved (on & off the field it would seem...).

Cullet was quiet but could well be a danger. Maybe Rabbit to 15 and Shep to the wing? Cullet on the bench?

Personally I'd put Rabbit into 15 and bench Cummins for the first 60 or so. Shep has a better boot, and his counterattck, whilst not as powerful, is more elusive. Once everyone's tired, a fit Nick Cummins will cut them to ribbons alone!

Fairbanks did a decent job of 12 and I would be more confident having him there with the threat of a Rabbit in any play he decides is his!

That being said, there's no problem with Benching Fairbanks and keeping the back three the same......it's a nice problem to have!

    I'm glad you (ecky)turned up.
When are your brethren of pedantic social misfits going to work out that asking a collective group of 900+Kg of rugby union beef to hold and pause is physically impractical.
The scrum engagements were a clusterf'uck in the Force game. can you explain to me how referees decide scrum penalties? dead set, I want ref blood

Wykes should be used for cray bait. His head would make a good sponge for washing my car. As a rugby player, he is useless

We fell in a bit of a hole when Hodgson was binned and Sharpe went to the blood bin almost simultaneously. Charles needs to practice his lineout throwing.
    Wykes should be executed
I had a really bad feeling when JOC missed the conversion
After such a long run in that heat..surely Shep would have been the better choice to try for the conversion than JOC??? We were robbed..I felt for Nathan post match...

Your neighbours are probably the same as mine..I warn them when a game is on, and they leave home for a couple of hours..

Tom Hockings would probably be the best option. What we really need is another experienced lock. I think the Force have put in an offer on Will Caldwell before. If he is back and fit for next year I wonder if the Force would consider him as an option to replace Sharpie while the others get back to speed.

Well, I just watched the highlights package on foxtel, it appears the force didn't touch the ball and were only in it because of an opportunist try to rabbit. I didn't see one play where Queensland were pushed back by the force defense, nor did I see the force EVER near the reds line.....geez I'm glad we were lucky enough to get a point out of that one!

of course, immediately after that, the game was replayed as the game of the week!
