If it were to become a pre-match activity amongst the fans and everyone is on their own recognisance for not being refused entry, then sure. I was thinking about a one time event with Force involvement (for ground access, activities, etc) specifically designed to get around the Good Friday issue and probably requiring them to be some sort of responsible for avoiding excessive pissiness.
But if we thought we could pull off a fans-only "tailgate" local to the ground, I wonder what laws would apply. It would imagine it would effectively be a picnic, so what laws would govern consumption of food and alcohol?
if the carpark is designated as a public place drinking alcohol would be illegal

4(c) kinda kills car park drinking![]()
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Wow! Some huge fines!
It's BS..some places enforce it here mostly because they want you to buy the $8.00 beers and $6.00 hot dogs inside the stadium. Luckily though most places let you have some fun and don't enforce the law. It's crazy that we still have all these antiquated laws on the books that they want to try an enforce. It's 2009 not 1909.
Not necessarily, otherwise everything before it was moot. Depends what a "prescribed" premises is, but a stadium was specifically addressed by (2) and (3). Nonetheless, I'd read is as:
- Under (1), if we used a local park we'd probably need council approval - possible, but perhaps not likely.
- Under (2), we could use the stadium up to an hour before the match (but would obviously need to be let in and therefore require buy-in from the Force or council) - hard to see how that would work with the one hour limit.
- But we could do it as a private function under (3), but would again need Force buy-in - again, all a bit hard controlling the "private" bit.
So yeah, pretty much stuffed.
3 (c) works for me, Force hold a member's function and gives away free pi$$

I'll be back in Perth for this game- arrive just in time for it and hoping to get along. I'd forgotten how Middle ages Perth drinking laws are... :-( Is nothing afoot to shake the Dullsvile tag? Last time I was back there seemed to be some new late night bars open in the vity which was promising. Nothing doing with relaxing street drinking laws, shopping hours??
