a 27yr old number 8 isnt the same as a 5/8 who a team has a game plan built around
so you agree that more players require more funding?Tell you what give us the funding first and we'll start cracking on the 50,000 players. What comes first the chicken or the egg? The money has to come first, it always does. Even if not $2 million just something.
cant really blame QLD for getting extra funding then can we?

I would have loved to see this argument in 2005.
Don't just look at what you want to see, look at the full picture
I've corrected your stats for you
After 9 rounds 2010 - Force -115, 10 points
After 9 rounds 2009 - Reds -61, 13 points
After 9 rounds 2009 - Force 11, 23 points
After 9 rounds 2008 - Reds -27, 16 points
After 9 rounds 2008 - Force -11, 24 points
After 9 rounds 2007 - Reds -132, 7 points.
After 9 rounds 2007 - Force 13, 25 points
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
psst, tdevil. Dont forget:
"After 9 round 2010 - Reds 96, 30 points".

Yes you did play in 3 semis during the Super12
1996 - Lost semi against Natal (Sharks) 43-25 after ending #1 on the log and get home advantage.
1999 - Lost semi against Crusaders 28-22 after ending #1 on the log and get home advantage.
2001 - Lost semi against Brumbies 30-6
And yes you did win the title twice when it was Super 10, but look at the competition then. Remember it was played in 2 different pools back then and no semi finals, top in Pool A plays top in Pool B.
1994:
Pool A: Queensland, North Harbour, Otago, Transvaal, Eastern province
Pool B: Natal, New South Wales, Western Samoa, Auckland, Waikato
Queensland def Natal 21-10
1995:
Pool A: North Harbour, Otago, Transvaal, Western Province, New South Wales
Pool B: Queensland, Free State, Auckland, Canterbury, Tonga
Queensland def Transvaal 30-16
---------- Post added at 08:43 ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 ----------
2007:
won against Hurricanes 25-16
lost to Crusaders 22-33
lost to Brumbies 3-6
lost to Blues 13-38
lost to Lions 20-26
lost to Highlanders 17-33
lost to Force 3-38
lost to Chiefs 19-21
lost to Sharks 16-59
Points for 138, points against 270, diff -132
They had a bye between the Chiefs and Sharks, but that is the results after 9 games
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
I am not fussed whether QC comes or goes. It is the fuss being kicked up by some over the pending decision though.
The East Coast media kicking up a stink over possible evil 3rd Party money for the deal and yet if a Brisbane/Queensland based buisness were to sign on as a 3rd party for Cooper they would be then shown as a "White Knight to keep Quade Cooper in Qld where he belongs"
How is it a bad thing for the Force to attemot to attract a qualty player in a position we are lacking in?
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
We must of forgotten to read the fine print when told of our admission into Super rugby - Yes your allowed to play, but your not allowed to try too hard to win.
What is it with these Plonkers..can someone PLEASE explain??? I honestly don't get it when the twaddle on about "putting their playing careers in jeopardy", "not givng themselves the best opportunity to play for the Wallabies"..blah blah blah if they make the regrettable decision to come West....
Am I missing something? Why would their careers be better served over east..Totally fed up with all this negative vibe on the West.....!!!
And how long has the game plan been built around Cooper. I would argue until Barnes left only this year. I know you will say Mooney stuck with Barnes at 12 and Cooper at 10 despite criticism but Mooney stuck with Barnes at 12 because thats where he was at with the Wallabies.
Y
ou are also forgetting that that is the Waratahs we are talking about. Palu trying to pick up the ball and run is the central theme of their attack.
I don't blame QLD or NSW at all for getting extra funding. I blame them for complaining about WA stealing their players and why WA doesn't develop its own depth.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
I wonder if anything was built around Peter Hynes.
Yeh me too Deans watchs all the games (on telly) he knows whats out there.... I would of thought a move west would show how good he is in devloping a new backline... Gits tried to but didnt like being told how to do it by JM with JM gone next season (90% sure) and David N in at coach a whole new player/coach will begin.
I would like to see Gena come over as well and team up with JOC and QC - TOCC u can come over too!!!!
I think we should buy out Hill's contract, Cooper has been terrible the last few rounds!
