Nedlands will be paying $60K minumum to support its 1st grade team with player payments, recruitment costs (airfares etc), cars, rent etc.

Their 19 year old fullback was offered $7,500 of inducements to go to Nedlands instead of Kalamunda after he returned from NZ after having played his juniors at Kalamunda. Or so his father told me.

Maybe I'm a bit conservative on the $60K and Zed's $100K is closer to the mark given the amount Nedlands also pays the Force guys to be loyal to them.

Oops, forgot, they are all Neddies homegrown lads who just want to put something back into the community, help with the juniors, sell hot dogs on game days etc!

Clubs like Rocky just can't match the recruitment budget and thats why they are at the other end of the table.

Are you saying Nedlands don't pay their top players? They are happy to play there for peanuts because they love the club so much despite most other clubs forking out decent mulah for their top players?
