I wouldn't mind seeing the 'Kapa o Pang' Haka brought out again, if ever there was a good time to use that particular version now is it.

Well my take on that is that replacing the "original haka" with a more confronting model, when they feel like it, has in itself taken something away. The official line from the players, most having other than Maori ancestry, is apparently that the "new" haka more realistically reflects this heritage. To most observers it seems to be designed to be more intimidating.

Either one is up for a bit of piss-taking now because of that. IMHO, of course.
