    Latest from Perth Airport webpage
    Thursday, 16 June 2011

The Bureau of Meteorology’s Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre has advised that the ash cloud which suspended some services at Perth Airport yesterday has now moved out to sea. Based on this information, most airlines have resumed services to and from Perth Airport.

Due to the number of cancellations yesterday (Wednesday 15 June), delays may be experienced in order to clear the back log. Passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling.

The following information relates to flights for Thursday, 16 June 2011:
    • Qantas – all services resumed
    • Jetstar – all services resumed
    • Virgin Australia – services to resume from 12pm (WST)
    • Skywest – all services resumed
    • Strategic – all services resumed
    • Alliance – all services resumed
    • Maroomba, Network, Cobham, Skippers – all services resumed
    • Tiger Airways – services to resume from 12pm (WST)
    • South African Airways – all services resumed
    • Garuda Indonesia – all services resumed
    • All other airlines operating as per schedule

    Hope this helps.

The Bureau of Meteorology’s Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre has advised
Andrew Dimetriou, on Fox Sports this morning, posed a question that I was also wondering yesterday: WTF do the folks at the VAAC do for the other 999 days out of a thousand??
