Here are my few points from the night!
- I love the look of most of the first back line - matheson, holmes, godwin, not sure about junior still, badger.
- wasn't impressed with Marcel, he was caught out of position on one occasion and seemed to get back slowly on turnover ball (esp with that wind), got bundled into touch taking the wrong option, and seemed to dawdle a little bit.
- The saffa 4 looked pretty good, solid in the line out too
- Skills were really good, i didn't see too many dropped balls at all. They managed to keep on the front foot a lot, though not super competition
- discipline was really good
- kicking was minimal!!!!
- some of the kicks were crap, kicking way too high into the howling wind.
HIGHLIGHT: Alby got smashed in a tackle, and had to come off... because he had lost his shoes... SHOES!!! thats right, he got knocked out of both his shoes. he seemed a little pissed as he needed to find some more shoes. What had us all really puzzled was, where did he put his shoes, he didnt come off with them... pretty sure a Samoan forward ate them, only explanation really...
Shaping up to be a tight unit, and will be good to see them against a quality side.
Saw him loose the first one over the far side, were I was. I thought Marcel was ok. Also think that wind was something that nobody really knew how to deal with. (Something the coaching staff should have known about). Think it was 10 that kicked within about 5 mins(on the far side) and watched the ball curl back and land about were it was kicked from. Didn't happen again in that half.
Couple of days later and I'm still feeling better than last year.
By the by.. Stopped of for a meal in Rocky for a meal before the game and meet CEO Mark Sinderberry who happily showed he Aithch and myself the play sheet for the night. Was fantastic to be able to tell the people around us who was coming on next or in a couple of places who they were!
I love this team!
May the FORCE be with you!
Was a solid night. I thought Marcel played ok. Luke has pace to burn and has firmed as my pick for the FB spot, Zack looked good at 10, but Sias wasn't too bad either. At the end on the day we scored 20 more points than in the corresponding game to last year which shows some improvement in attack and we didn't get any tries against!! Looking forward to Friday night, should be a better hit out and hopefully some more improvement!!
has anyone any info on the make up of the Argie team?I guess most of their better players are in Europe

“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.
agree, especially when they have 3 jockeys playing![]()
Let them bring their horses, should make it interesting![]()
Is anyone else feeling slightly nervous after reading about how well the Reds, Rebs and Tahs have played against 'proper S15' opposition in their trial matches? 60-odd points against a 'cobbled together' Samoan team (no disrespect intended) doesn't mean the same to me as 20-odd points against a seasoned Chiefs or Hurricanes or Blues outfit.
Am I being unduly pessimistic?
I do find it a bit disturbing that we can't find a more worthy opponent. I assume Rugby WA pays the way for the visiting teams. If that's the case why couldn't we have bought over one of the SA teams? Or is it because we want to keep our powder dry and surprise everyone? That's the one I'm telling my self!
May the FORCE be with you!

does anyone else think our jersey looks schmick on camera?
