There are so many good 10s in NZ. Each team has probably 2 each that could start for the Force. We should be able to attract 1 with a decent offer.
For example the highlanders have had Slade, Sopoaga and Noakes play at ten this year and then I noticed on the weekend they had got Mike Delaney from somewhere to play and he had a pretty good game. Not to mention Jimmy Cowan can't get any game time.
Tom Taylor from the Crusaders.
But we'd be better off with older players. There is enough young talent coming through

He certainly would be tempting. I guess I look at a guy like Sam Lane who is about the same age, is highly talented and Australian and think why not go for him? The Reds can't really. Bleyendaal wouldn't pass up the opportunity to become an All Blacks while a guy like Tom Taylor or Lima Sopoaga are the types who would fall through the cracks and never go on to international honours. Or worse, be given a lone test cap for a test against Canada and then be locked out of test rugby.
I just think we should aim for an experienced player at 10 as a preference. Or failing that a good all rounder marquee 12.
