Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Faulkner, Godwin, Hodgson and McCalman have been handed tickets as squaddies for the spring tour.
So Pulver made a snap decision and appointed Cheika rather than going through any sort of process. He didn't talk to anyone else.
Cheika still to coach tahs as well.
coz Stone Cold says so
So now the ARU's number one priority is getting a new head coach for the Waratahs for beyond 2015![]()

sometime in 2015....
cheika: hey foley how is Hodgson travelling what to see what shape he is in for the upcoming international against dirkadirkastan?
Foley: He's good. Playing great. Really motivated and I know he wants to make a big impression for you in the wallaby gold. I'll send over his recent fitness and agility test so you can confirm. You can speak to him as well.
cheika: [looks through Hodgson's fitness and agility results] to minion. Hodgson has some rib cartilage issue I see. let's get Potgieter to smash him there at the breakdown when the tah's play the force next week. Victory will be assured! [rubs hands together and laughs maniacally].
etc.
I was typing up contract proposals at the same time, so some of it glanced off my brain, but something like this:
Newsboy - "what are your comments that the Wallabies are in a state of disarray"
Mr P - "well, we won 7 games in a row, we had a couple of disappointing loses, argentina, blah blah, but the players are playing good rugby, with passion, I dont think anyone can say the Wallabies are in disarray"
Newsboy - "no, not the playing group, the ARU... you, are in disarray..."
Mr P - "Im more of a custodian of Australian Rugby, my job is to do something something something deflect deflect deflect, next questions"
Alison this is the trouble with Australia rugby and a lot of you supporters when things turn to shit there supporters walk away. In the early days of the force if the supports turned there backs every time one of the players mucked up there would not be a fan base at all now and Japan would have had a team in 5 years ago .
It's not when things turn to shit, it's when standards get dropped, exemptions get made for bullshit, and as such the lowering of the status. That's when supporters begin to turn their backs.
We can accept losses with high standards and effort.
Don't want to accept dickhead attitude.
