Just a few observations on the above post:
The Brumbies would have to be the most "cosmopolitan" of the four Australian teams with eight International born players from four different countries (Fiji, Indonesia, New Zealand & South Africa).
Of the 31 in the Squad, only Peter Kimlin and Julian Salvi are truly ACT born & bred and Senior loyal Union players.
Seven of the Squad played Rugby League as Juniors.
Three come from places where Union is a minor sport (Indonesia, Perth & Melbourne.)

My impression is that Canberra is a bit of a mungo town. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but I thought it would carry with it more of an undercurrent of rugby clubs. It seems that's not the case.....maybe the coaches just look at Sydney to do their hard work for them. It would be good for ARC II to create pressure for the ACT club scene to flourish regardless of the reasons for it languishing.
