James Horwill to face misconduct hearing
SANZAR has completed an investigation into comments made by James Horwill in an on-field post-match interview following the Reds v Rebels match played at Suncorp Stadium on 17 May 2014.
The comment in question attributed to Mr Horwill is: "In the end, once again we were robbed by a stupid refereeing decision."
SANZAR has referred the matter for a hearing in accordance with SANZAR's Disciplinary Rules.
In bringing this complaint, SANZAR will allege that the comments made by Mr Horwill amount to Misconduct under Rule 10 of the SANZAR Disciplinary Rules and breaches the SANZAR Code of Conduct Section 8.3 (3) of the Super Rugby Tournament Manual, which reads as follows:
Section 8.3 (e) "All persons shall not publish or cause to be published criticism of the manner in which a Match Official handled a match."
The matter will be heard by SANZAR Judicial Officer Nigel Hampton QC via teleconference on Tuesday 27 May 2014: 5:30pm (AEST), 7:30pm (NZST), 9:30am (SAST).
SANZAR will be making no further comment until this process has been completed.

Hope they're going to roast Richard Graham as well. Arguably, as the head coach he should be even more accountable for his actions.
Braindead Dick and a real dickhead....good combination
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
And what a joke on HQ last night, completely bypassed the incident with just a passing mention regarding news headlines. How friggin predictable was that gonna be!
Horwill is untouchable at HQ I think he has pictures or Video of Brain dead marto or kearnies doing somthing bad.....So they just brush it under the carpet.. I hope he gets a few games then that will knock him out of wallabies for the frogs
I am going straight onto the Roar site.. this will be very entertaining ...![]()

James Horwill's misconduct hearing brought forward. He pleaded guilty and copped a $2500 fine for his comments about a refereeing decision!
James Horwill will also have to apologise to the REF and TMO.

"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
He should be on Rugby HQ thursday and do it in frontthe TV cameras and make it sincere
Got off pretty light in comparison to the ton of bricks that Quade copped last year. But Of course he's a protected species being former Captain of Wobblies (& I hope it's FORMER)!
