Interesting aside, throughout it has always been the discussion point that we should be promoting and exposing local playing talent, yet not even one contributor (as far as I'm aware) has tried to suggest one of the current local coaches. Huge jump and all the rest, I know the reason, but you normally have one of us banging an extremist drum somewhere.

Who would those of you in the Club scene consider the local coach most likely (least unlikely maybe?) to go to higher honours?

Probably for the same reason you wouldn't expect someone who had run a few beasts on a hobby farm to step up for your job. It has hardly worked for the Waratahs, has it?

Fact is we have nowhere to train coaches at anything remotely resembling a professional level. Until we do, we will pretty much have to make do with sending them overseas to learn their trade.
