As submissions are closed maybe get on to Hansie so he can contact John Welborn as Welborn has to submit information to the Senate Inquiry on notice. Welborn will probably have contacts through Twiggy who can look in to it.
Interesting to note also that the Group carried a debt forward of about $320,000 from 2015, was also a couple of big loans $850,000 & about $900,000 from ANZ from what I recall reading earlier this morning.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
it has ALWAYS been about the money...
1) the vast inequality in the Super grants, Wallaby top ups, the salary cap, returning player payouts, grass roots distribution etc etc
2) And the elephant in the room, the forgiven debts and brown paper bag handouts to the Rebels both first owner and second, especially the second, and specifically where those vast amounts actually went
It was NEVER about ARU bankruptcy, player depth, playing standards, coaching, losing to the Kiwis, moving a team to Penwiff/Paramatta or any of the other crap that has been sprouted that is ALL bullshit.
Since 2010, when Graham was dropped onto us and the Rebels installed despite several forms of advice it was economic suicide, it is FOLLOW THE MONEY
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
I wonder if there's any mention of Praetorian Private Equity in the details Wikileaks leaked about the Cayman Islands / Virgin Islands tax havens? Anyone know how to get them?
What about Panama Papers? (be careful of the 'creepy' sound on the website below)

"12 Years a Supporter" starring the #SeaOfBlue
Hopefully the ARU and Rebels officials join Cheeky Watson in the dock. He ruined the Kings and they are still paying for it.
This sounds awfully familiar and the people WP Rugby appear to be in trouble too

Any indication of who the Imperium consultants are?

Didn't the ARU have an item in their financial reports regarding service rendered to the Melbourne Rebels?

Other way round. The MRRU's financial statements for 2013 and 2014 showed services rendered to the ARU of nearly $10 million. No idea what for and no idea why it wasn't shown on the revenue side of the Rebels' income and expenditure statement for either year. Another case of "management charges" ?? As the MRRU is a taxable entity, I suggest the ATO might be interested in that.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
The fact that the Rebels set up a separate Melbourne centric entity which alienates the rest of Victoria like Kennett learnt when he lost to the inferior Steve Bracks do it at your peril should raise alarm bells with the ARU. The Rebels have barely grown rugby in country Victoria since their existence. As Turinui said it is the City of Melbourne's private team. At least Rugby WA has seen a growth in the number of clubs outside of Perth since 2006.

The journalist behind the leaking of the Panama Papers was blown up in a car bomb overnight. Do you think Imperium could be implicated?
I am really a Palmyra troll.
