Good game between the French and Rocky - some clear experience on the French side and some decent fitness across all, difference on the day was the quality of the support with Rocky getting 6 or 7 tries to the French nil - all played in a good spirits and a great way to spend a Tuesday night.
I'm still confused as to what actually happened in that final schmozzle at the end. An uncontested scrum is the same stunt that got pulled in NZ with Hurricanes game(? not sure). Is this some new trick Kiwi sides have thought up for the Force? Why wasn't a penalty try given with all the warnings the Blues got? Sounded at the end like the ref (if you can call him that) was trying to stick up for the Blues.
They had a card and a concussion test off, thus the uncontested scrum to finish.
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Yeah, you can't ask props to switch sides these days, as loose-head and tight-head are too specialist in their skill-sets
The final line-out and maul for the Force ended in a dropped ball, so a knock-on, so a scrum to the Blues. Sort of described our entire season in 5 seconds!
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
My only question
If we had decided to go to scrum after the Yellow, rather than lineout, would the Blues have called uncontested?
Not the Ref's fault, he can't be expected to know who can play what side and who can't. Not the Blues' fault, they'll try anything they can get their hands on. The Force's fault for not applying the blowtorch in the right way.
C'mon the
