We couldn't get a free kids ticket for the Brumbies game. Seeing as they were advertising free kids tickets I was a bit pissed off. Seems if your a member you don't qualify! The amount I've spent over the last 10 yrs I think that's a bit of a cheek.
May the FORCE be with you!
Snob, we managed at the first home game. Did you claim them on the computer ticketing system or at the gate?
You can't get on on the booking system unles you are buying a ticket. Obviously as a member I don't need too. At the first game we got one at the gate but this week were told not available. In the scheme of things I'm not that worried as the young fella isn't always available to go to the games but it's the consistency that pisses me off.
May the FORCE be with you!
So how do you get the kid's ticket if you're a member? Do you have to ask at the gate?
Would be good to see some school XV's in the crowd too.

Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
Are you asking me?
I did it when I renewed my membership. MiniGIGS has a junior membership to the Force, not just a free ticket. IIRC there were 3 junior memberships on offer with each adult bronze ticket....I see plenty of families with kids sitting around me now that I've moved to the southern stand, so I think it has worked on some level.

Thanks mate, that sounds pretty good. You know I reckon there's bugger all members at the Force now, a part of me reckons all the Force members should grouped together in our own members' section in the east stand where the gold and platinum is now.
(That's the cheap deluded impractical part of me, of course)
I was wondering whether these free tickets for kids are available at every game? I might take the little cousins down.

Can't hurt to ask, but I know the deal I went with was only for bronze

I believe it's up to 3 u17 kids free on any paying adult ticket in the bronze area. As that is where the tickets are allocated.
U17?
Cool, I thought it was going to run out....I should get another season.

double check that!
The first home game I got one from the gate (not the main gate) last week no chance NIB staff got all shitty and said I had to go to main gate but having a duf knee they said they would call WF and try to organise. With about 5 mins to go before kick off they came back and said no tickets left from the supposed K2 that are available for kids! Well if there was only about K11 at the match I know for a fact there were not K2 kids there.
If I was a non member I could buy my tickets on line and the get up to 2 kid tickets for FREE. Maybe you are better off not being a member!
May the FORCE be with you!
It took the ARU a week to formulate the following response to my email:
"Thank you for contacting the Australian Rugby Union.
The comments made by outgoing NSW Waratahs Chief Executive are personal opinion and not connected with the Australian Rugby Union.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the ARU Customer Support Team."
That was a waste of time.
Wayne Smith in todays Weekend Australian discussed a draft and how it would help the Force, as well as the negatives including making five ok teams instead of a couple of championship teams.
As well as how the Force are the only club not to be directly bailed out by the ARU. Also highlighted how the the Force are always the target when it comes to off field performance because the Rebels are privately owned and the Waratahs and Reds are too big to fail, and the brumbies on field performance protects them. It was a refreshing read to see a journalist looking at the whole picture instead of just their favourite club.
I be curious to see what the squads would look like if we used New Zealand's system.

Winning fixes all evils
There was a good recuitment this year.
The WA age teams are going OK in national comps.
Huge ex pat rugby community.
The Force have good support.
Why give the mungo's a shoe in by leaving?
You don't succeed by giving up. You succeed by persisting and making things better.
Better management would be a good start.
Better marketing
Better club and community engagement
Self reliance and better financial management rather than hands out entitlement mentality
Start farking winning instead of "building"
The mindset of the farking organisation is the problem.
Too comfortable with mediocrity
Controversy corner
