    No, Capone was done for tax evasion. I'm not sure about Australia, but in other countries tax inspectors often have wider ranging powers than the police.

    Sickness stops Firepower boss's court appearance

    DISCREDITED Firepower boss Tim Johnston is too unwell to appear in a Perth court today for a public examination of his company's collapse.

    His lawyers say Mr Johnson's heart condition prevents him from flying.

    The former New Zealand businessman, who is understood to have spent the past 18 months in Britain, had his two passports confiscated after flying into Brisbane earlier this month.

    His failed fuel additive company, which was wound up last year owing shareholders up to $100 million, is alleged by corporate watchdog ASIC to have failed to properly disclose company information.

    The Federal Court hearing today has been brought by liquidators of the company as part of efforts to recoup investors' losses.

    Mr Johnston was ordered to appear or face the immediate issuance of a warrant for his arrest.
