Last week it looked as if the All Blacks had been complacent (or maybe just not ready) for the match, and it was a draw.
This week, the Wallabies looked complacent, because the same level of performance would be good enough again, and the All Blacks looked as if they'd had a rocket put up them in training.
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
You can't miss 40 tackles and commit and a truck load of errors (haven't been able to find a stat of how many errors) and expect to win at a venue that gives the All Blacks the God mode cheat code.
Every time the Wallabies made some positive play they followed it up with something bone headed.
Special mention of JO'Cs midfield bomb with no chasers to pressure the receiver or semblance of a line to contain to AB's once they caught it which led to the AB's opener.
The Wobblies weren’t complacent, they just couldn’t measure up to the AB’s this week who came out on a retribution mission. No way AB’s were gonna embarrass themselves 2 weeks running - a statement needed to be made at Eden Park. Wallabies are their own worst enemies, their egos & the media build them up all week and then the usual result. As Andrew Merhtens said on Rugby Wrap- they’re guys who just aren’t Test experienced, & JOC mentioned that also. There’s some good tLent there, but I don’t think they have enough good leadership in the team to develop as they should, I mean Hooper as a captain is deplorable - I can’t see him communicating with his team at all! JOC, White & Toomua seem to be the leaders. So team dynamics still appears to be an issue. I wonder how long before Rennie throws his hands up in the air in defeat?
Get rid of Hooper and bring Sean McMahon or Liam Gill back to Australia.
Arnold brothers too + the rest ...
