Hard to care about the result when the season was over so early (and you've stopped even hoping for any better), but I have to say that having finally seen some of the vision, Higginbotham's try was some spectacularly crap refereeing by both officials. 20.9f should have seen a free-kick to the Force for Gill kicking the ball in the tunnel, unless it had had come back out in which case it should have been a free-kick for returning it to the scrum (20.9d). In either case, without a call the assistant ref should have called for a repeat under 20.7b when it came out the tunnel the other end. So a stellar performance all 'round.
