Always good to smack the Vics. A rivalry that goes back to the old Southern States carnival - if anyone else is old enough like me to remember that!
I'll be in Melbourne, wonder if I could go to races, airport, Qld for rugby and back? Hmmm

After watching that I am beginning to understand why there are so many calls for alo emile to join the wallabies squad. Gee he can scrummage, it will be interesting to see how he goes against some top flight front rows in the s15 next year.
Great game from the boys looking forward to giving city a touch up next week.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
I think the fact that the Spirit were giving away 50kg in the scrum helped the Rising. Not so sure about Alo-Emile as that great a scrummager - Pek gave him a touch up in the first scrum, even with that weight advantage.
Great result for the Spirit though - really stuck it to Melbourne.................and the Fox commentators...!!

Another one discarded by Mitchell/Graham.
Can anyone tell me how the Grand Final gets to be played at Ballymore? NIB would've been a great choice & with a much bigger crowd no doubt!
I heard what you are saying. PAE has been good in the NRC. But he wasn't good enough in the season to lock down a regular starting position (neither was Tet for that matter). I think Neville is a pretty renown strong scrummaging lock (used to be a rower has massive core strength). How would PAE go if he didn't have that support?
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Because City qualified higher for finals. I wouldn't put any money on a bigger crowd here though...I believe the biggest NRC crowd to date was for the derby at Ballymore. In most respects I think a big crowd in a heartland location is probably the best outcome for the competition as a whole.
Just for the record, I wasn't claiming an ARU conspiracy just asking a simple question as I didn't know who gets to host the GF.
No tin hat here, but wasn't it stated from the outset that the finals would be played on the east coast?
What's good for the game also, is that the teams whose players come from the mighty Shite Shield couldn't make the final. Suggests the standard outside the "heartlands" is on the rise.
