Watching Sally McLellan (Australia-Silver) and Priscilla Lopes-Schliep (Canada- Bronze) celebrating together after their surprise placings in the 100m Hurdles.
The words "pure joy" comes to mind.

Of course most of the footage was on the American that didn't medal...

Back whe ABC had the weekly show "Wide World of Sports" they always said "The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" In this case Burgs the Agony of defeat was a much bigger story because of how she lost. What made me smile watching tonight was Shawn Johnson getting herself a gold in the balance beam to go along with her 3 silvers, her good friend and teammate Nastia Lukin got the Silver to go along with her 3 silvers & 1 bronze. They were fun to watch this past week as were the Chinese girls who were great as well. Great job girls!

The stupid dog that keeps running from one end of my lawn to the other with a piece of rope in his mouth.
Was hillarious until he ran full speed into my leg! But then he walked into the door so we're even now.

Anna Meares' silver medal ride. I think she made it into the final, because the Chinese girl was disqualified for pushing (that seemed to be what happened) and despite not winning she got a medal. What makes it even more amazing is that at the beginning of the year she was in a wheel chair and neck brace. Truely inspirational stuff.

After reading the article on the Thas looking in Africa for players. I clicked on the Olympics page, the guy writes an article about why Mr. Bolt is the man of the olympics not Michael Phelps. He says that roid man Michael Johnson said it's the most impressive athlethic performance ever. lol.. It was certianly fun to watch him dust everyone, but hardly the most impressive.
